Privacy Policy

JobNBill is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using JobNBill, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the Service:

Account Information

  • Email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
  • Business name, business address, phone number, and logo
  • Billing contact information collected by LemonSqueezy at checkout

Business Data

  • Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses
  • Job details including descriptions, scheduled dates and times, and status
  • Invoice data including line items, amounts, and payment status
  • Job notes and any other content you enter into the Service

Usage Data

  • Log data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps
  • Device type and operating system when accessing the Service

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including storing and displaying your jobs, customers, and invoices
  • Send transactional emails on your behalf, such as invoices delivered to your customers via Resend
  • Process subscription payments and manage your billing relationship through LemonSqueezy
  • Send you service-related communications, including account notifications, billing receipts, and updates about the Service
  • Respond to your support requests and resolve disputes
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the Service and fix technical issues
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use your business data for advertising purposes and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the third-party service providers necessary to operate JobNBill. Each provider is bound by their own privacy and data processing terms:

  • Supabase — provides authentication, database hosting, and file storage. Your account credentials and all business data reside in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases. Supabase processes data in accordance with its Data Processing Agreement.
  • Resend — processes outbound email on your behalf, including invoices sent to your customers. Email content (recipient address, invoice data) is transmitted to Resend's servers to deliver the message.
  • LemonSqueezy — handles subscription billing and payment processing. When you subscribe, LemonSqueezy collects your billing details directly. JobNBill does not store full payment card information.
  • Twilio (optional) — if you configure SMS notifications within your account settings, appointment reminders and related messages will be sent through Twilio. This feature is opt-in; no SMS data is transmitted to Twilio unless you enable it.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of JobNBill, our users, or the public.

4. Cookies

JobNBill uses cookies solely to maintain your authenticated session. Specifically:

  • Supabase session cookies — set automatically when you log in and used to keep you authenticated across page loads. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking. You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in to the Service.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Active account data (customers, jobs, invoices, settings) is retained indefinitely while your account remains open
  • Following subscription cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation
  • Upon account deletion or at the end of the 30-day post-cancellation period, all personal data is permanently deleted from our systems and from Supabase
  • We may retain anonymized, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to you indefinitely for service improvement purposes

To request immediate deletion of your data, contact us at support@jobnbill.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — you may update or correct inaccurate personal data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us
  • Deletion — you may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data
  • Data export — you may request an export of your business data (customers, jobs, invoices) in a portable format
  • Objection — you may object to certain processing of your data, such as receiving non-essential communications

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@jobnbill.com. We will respond within 30 days. In some cases we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures:

  • Encryption in transit — all communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS)
  • Encryption at rest — your data is stored in Supabase-managed databases, which encrypt data at rest using AES-256
  • Access control — all database queries are scoped to your business account; no user can access another user's data
  • Authentication — passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext; session tokens are managed by Supabase Auth

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@jobnbill.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by displaying a notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was most recently revised.

Your continued use of the Service after the revised policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you disagree with any changes, please stop using the Service and contact us to request deletion of your data.
